The Way God Does It
John 1:16
"For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace."
God doesn't do things halfway. He always finishes what He starts. He doesn't get distracted by cell phones and text messages and a bombardment of emails. God is thorough in a way that we can't really comprehend. He begins, and He completes to the utmost.
Before time began, He began the work of our redemption. It was always in His heart. He became the Rescuer before we were here to need rescuing. And His rescue is like no other. It's not a halfway thing. Not just a barely get you through it, edge of your seat Hollywood style rescue. He's got it all covered. God is all the way. More, and then much more on top of that.
When He gives grace, it isn't just a little pick-me-up. It's grace upon grace.
Whatever your need is today, whatever you are facing, there is a Rescuer. He gives grace not according to what is needed, but according to His riches...He doesn't measure it out by the size of the need, but by the vastness of all He desires to give. He gives it all. Abundant grace.
And grace upon grace.
