Meet GT's iServe Superstars!
Glad Tidings Church is taking this opportunity to honor those who labor among us! We appreciate your dedicated service to the Lord.
This week our iServe Superstar is Roland Roux!
Roland is our Parking Lot Captain, and does such a great job. Actually, "great job" doesn’t even begin to describe the ministry of Roland Roux. Many of you have seen Roland in the parking lot with his big umbrella bringing one person after another to safety from the down pouring rain. One can find him in the Seniors parking lot where he valets as many cars as he can. One of the most touching things you will observe him doing is stopping to pray for needs right in the middle of the parking lot. It is not just about the physical aspect of the parking lot, but Roland uses this opportunity to minister the love of Jesus to anyone needing a special touch. He is very sensitive to others and takes his ministry to heart as he feels he is an extension of the Master's touch.
We are so blessed to have Roland at Glad Tidings, and the people of Glad Tidings and our guests receive such a warm reception the minute they enter the parking lot.
Great job Roland Roux! You are so appreciated, and such a blessing.
If you see Roland in the parking lot, let him know what a blessing he has been to you!
-Pastor Paula Raley

Glad Tidings Church coming together in prayer for the nations...
Each week, this section of our newsletter will focus on prayer for the unreached people around the globe. We will travel the world over, nation by nation.
Join us this week as we pray for China. We've included a little information below to consider as you pray for the people of this nation.
China:
• Has a population over 1.3 billion.*
• China remains officially atheist.*
• The church in China has experienced unprecedented growth between 1975 to present, (growing from 2.7 million evangelicals to over 75 million) under what may have been the harshest and most widespread persecution of the church in all history. Pray for these precious believers whose faith shines amidst substantial opposition and persecution.

The Stuff of Miracles
Then the LORD said to him (Moses), “What is that in your hand?” Exodus 4:2
Is there something in particular the Lord has been directing you to do, something that seems small or doesn't make sense? Have you neglected it because you don’t see the significance of it? Maybe it seems like such a small gesture, what could really come of it? Is it just a drop in the bucket, or seemingly a waste of time? Did you share your idea with someone else and meet discouragement?
I want to challenge you today to pray about it, to surrender it, to walk it out. It may seem like a small thing to you, maybe even a little foolish, but God has been known to work in ways beyond our understanding, hasn’t He? A staff in the hand of Moses, a slingshot in the hand of David, a few "loaves and fishes" in a little boy’s lunch box. We only know this is the stuff of miracles because these people were faithful to obey the Lord, even in the little things. Even when they had no idea what God was up to.
Day by day, moment by moment, we can live in conversation with the Lord, or not. We can trouble over creating a computer-guided missile system to tackle life's giants, when all the while, God is looking for a simple slingshot in the hand of the pure in heart.
If God directs you to pick up a stick, carry a slingshot, or pack a lunch, go for it! And never underestimate what God can do with what He puts in your hand, because even the small stuff is BIG!
It’s the stuff of miracles.
